Pennyworth: The Origin of Batman's Butler - News

Alfred Pennyworth is ending his origin story. HBO Max has decided against a fourth season of "Pennyworth", otherwise known as "Pennyworth: The Origin of Batman's Butler". The streamer picked up the show for its third season, after two seasons aired on Epix. The DC origin series premiered its 10-episode third season on the streamer in October, and it ran through end of November.

HBO Max announced today at DC FanDome that season three of the hit DC series PENNYWORTH, from Warner Bros. Television, will debut in 2022 as a Max Original. The first two seasons will also be available on the platform in early 2022.

Pennyworth, the stylish one-hour drama devoted to the edgy, early-day exploits of Batman’s British butler, will return for a second season on Epix. The 10-episode Season 2 will begin filming at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in the UK in January.
