Rerun episodes on "48 Hours"

I was told that "Reruns should never be added" once at https://www.tvmaze.com/threads/4283/how-to-add-a-rerun-episode

"48 Hours" episode list https://www.tvmaze.com/shows/4408/48-hours/episodes seemingly has some rerun episodes. For instance, "A Death in Payson Canyon" is listed as S31E24 and S32E06, "Death and the Dentist" as S28E36 and S29E24. Should the later aired episodes be removed?

Another topic though, "48 Hours" list seems to be based on two different rules. One is to separate a specially long episode into two parts, such as in S31E13 and S31E14 both aired on a same day. Another is to put such episode as just one twice long episode such as in S32E01. Actually, 120 min long S32E01 has two parts; one is 60 min long "The Hollywood Ripper" and another is also 60 min long "The Hollywood Ripper on Trial." Which one of the rules is ideal?

Reruns are of course not allowed, I will take care of them :)

The length of an episode is not important, if it has only one credit block it should be listed as one episode, if it has two credit blocks it needs to be separated into two episodes.

It wouldn't surprise me if Dateline is equally messed up. Both shows are used as schedule spackle to plug holes, and the networks are never particularly clear if the episode is new, or repackaged segments from previous episodes.

Thank you for clearing the mystery. I just started to watch the program online, Dateline too. I found them very intriguing.

Since I only have access to their web resources and info here, I leave it to an appropriate person to take care of.

FYI, these are the episode list which has a identical title. Almost identical titles are included, such as "A Daughter, a Mortgage and Two Murders" (S26E29) and "A Daughter, a Mortgage, and Two Murders" (S25E29). I am not sure if these titles are rerun of an original episode or it is just another totally different episode of the same title.

Hi, I want to ask one question regarding to 48 Hours, so let me recycle this thread.

I found seemingly a new episode online https://www.cbsnews.com/news/kevin-cooper-chino-hills-massacre-can-dna-tests-prove-wrong-man-was-convicted-in-quadruple-slaying/

When I watched it, the title said S31E22 of "Letter from San Quentin" as shown https://i.imgur.com/Ey0sPUm.jpeg

Now, in the S31 episode list of 48 Hours here, there is none that matches this info, neither in near season episodes. IMDb does not have an entry for this title either.

Is this episode just a rerun and renamed episode of already aired one? If so, which one?

If not, I know how to put an episode does not comply to the original naming, so can someone please put it in a correct manner?
