So the "wild child" a variation of Alice Walker's Spelman memoirs tells the story through the eyes of the statisically poor. OK, but what doesn't resonate here is the 800 pound gorilla & much more interesting dynamic floating around in the eighties ether that made it more likely for denise to be schooled off campus by the indigenous rep whose knowledge of prehistoric America far surpassed anything Hillman had to offer.
