100% improvement on the first two episodes, although that wasn't difficult to do.  By no means a classic but a decent story which held my attention throughout.

Reminder that this was once an entertaining children's programme, but nowadays it's a vehicle for sinister purposes... Quoting Steven Moffat: "We've kind of got to tell a lie. We'll go back into history and there will be black people where, historically, there wouldn't have been, and we won't dwell on that. "We'll say, 'To hell with it, this is the imaginary, better version of the world. By believing in it, we'll summon it forth'." Source: https://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-36442982

Been a follower of Doctor Who from the original series, through the "2005" series, to this new series with the Fifteenth Doctor. I'll never stop watching it. The Original series brought me in, and the "2005" series had me wondering just how scary the next episode was going to be. Bringing back iconic characters like the Daleks, and Cybermen, to the introduction (in my words) of the scariest of all, the Weeping Angels. The new series started out with a effects driven episode Space Babies, which had me guessing just how they did it. The second episode was interesting, from the effects side. The third episode was more or less forty minutes of The Doctor standing in one place not moving. As the series progresses I hope to see more of the continuation of the "2005" series, but as it stands right now... all I can say is... mellow.
