The CW Network today announced it has renewed the hit new series DC’S STARGIRL for a second season. The CW will become the exclusive in-season home to the breakout superhero hit next season, airing on The CW Television Network and streaming the next day on The CW’s free, ad-supported streaming platforms.

The DC Universe series Stargirl just added some Hollywood star wattage to its cast: Luke Wilson is on board to portray mechanic-turned-superhero Pat Dugan, who pilots Stripe, a hulking 15-foot robot of his own invention.

The Injustice Society has recruited its first three members: The actors taking on the roles of Tigress, Sportsmaster and Dragon King on the upcoming live-action DC Universe series Stargirl will be Joy Osmanski, Neil Hopkins and Nelson Lee, respectively.

In what will give the just-launched DC Universe its first live action female-fronted superhero show, actress Brec Bassinger has been cast in the title role of Stargirl in the upcoming series based on the staff-wielding character. Announced at San Diego Comic-Con this summer, Stargirl will be the DC Universe’s sixth original series.
