An ex-con assumes the identity of the sheriff of a small, out-of-the-way Pennsylvania town, where he continues his criminal ways while trying to keep off the radar of ruthless mobsters he double-crossed years before.
The season kicks off with the arrival of an FBI special agent who opens an investigation into the vicious shootout between Hood and New York mob czar Rabbit, whom the "lawman" once double-crossed, and metes out his own brand of justice.
