Born in Sussex, England, Sophie Cookson attended Woodbridge school, traveled as a member of a theatre group touring Japan, and quit acting in order to study Arabic and art history at the University of Edinburgh. However, she was drawn back to acting, graduating from the Oxford School of Drama in 2013. Her debut on the small screen was in the 2013 TV mini-series Moonfleet, followed the following year with the role of Roxy in Kingsman: The Secret Service.
