Born in Yazoo City, Mississippi, Stella Stevens was a single young mother of 21 when she posed as a Playboy centerfold to support herself and her child. She was voted by Playboy as one of the 100 sexiest women of the 20th century and became of the most photographed stars of the 1960s. She debuted in a bit part in the 1959 film Say One for Me, as well as landing small roles in The Blue Angel and Li'l Abner. Her role in the 1972 blockbuster The Poseidon Adventure remains a popular classic.
Stella Stevens passed away from complications of Alzheimer's disease at the age of 84.
