William deVry was born and raised in Montreal, Canada. He moved to Florida with his mother when he was 19 and still maintains a residence there. His mother, Diane, is the grand-daughter of Herman DeVry founder of the DeVry Institute.
As a young boy William dreamed of becoming a major league baseball player, but while in college a friend of a friend suggested he attend acting classes and by doing so his dream career changed.
William currently resides in Vancouver, Canada.
