Born in Sioux City, Iowa, Sharon Farrell toured with the American Ballet Theatre Company, which brought her to New York City. She made her acting debut at the age of 18 in the 1959 film Kiss Her Goodbye. In 1970 she suffered an embolism while giving birth to her son, but she kept her brain damage a secret and worked privately to regain her memory and mobility. She continued to work steadily through to 2014 with her final credit as Grandma Geraldine in the series Broken at Love.
Sharon Farrell died of natural causes at the age of 82.
