Rick Husky, supervising producer of the "T.J. Hooker" police drama series was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Husky majored in journalism at Arkansas State University. After graduation from college, he started as an office boy in the publicity department at MGM studios and worked his way up to publicist, then began his writing career doing episodic television for such shows as "Mod Squad" and "Streets of San Francisco".
Having written more than 25 pilots, Husky also created the series "T.J. Hooker", "The Renegades" and "Cade's County". He also developed and produced the pilot of "S.W.A.T." and produced and wrote for "Charlie's Angels" and "The Rookies".
1983-84 projects, Husky wrote and produced: "Holmes and Watson", a two-hour pilot for Aaron Spelling Productions and ABC; "Fire and Ice", and NBC pilot with Guber-Peters and Centerpoint; and "Rider and Wild", a movie for ABC and Leonard Goldberg Productions.
Also, Husky has reached an agreement with Columbia Pictures Television to develop series, movie and mini-series projects.
