Born in Kingston upon Thames, Surrey, England, India de Beaufort attended Esher College in Surrey, England, as well as Lesly Kahn & Co. Drama school in Los Angeles. She first appeared in an uncredited role in the 1996 series Next of Kin. In 2003 she took on the recurring role of India in the Basil Brush Show.
