2 Chainz

Tauheed Epps, known professionally as 2 Chainz, is an American rapper and hip-hop artist. Born in College Park, Georgia, he began his musical career as "Tity Boi" in the Atlanta-based hip hop duo Playaz Circle, created with high school friend and fellow rapper Earl "Dolla Boy" Conyers. In 2007, their first album, "Supply & Demand," was a moderate success. Epps launched a successful solo career in 2010, issuing a parade of Top 40 hits and becoming a go-to artist for guest verses. His breakout year was 2012 when he landed on Kanye West's "Mercy" and Nicki Minaj's "Beez in the Trap." He then released "Based on a T.R.U. Story," his 2013 debut studio album. Debuting at number one on the US Billboard 200, it sold 147,000 copies in its first week. Ever since the album's success, he became one of the finest rappers in the U.S. He has received six Grammy awards nominations, winning one for his song "No Problem."
