Born in Fort Worth, Texas Harriet Sansom Harris was accepted at the Juilliard Schools' drama division at age 18, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. She has worked extensively on and off Broadway, and first appeared on television in a 1983 episode of Another World.
