Melissa is an LA-based actress with roots in NYC and Chicago. She was born and raised in Highland Park, Il. She graduated Summa Cum Laude fro Northwestern University where she studied theater.
She is the creator of Award Winning Web Series "Missed Connections Live," a re-imagining of Craigslist Missed Connections.
One of her biggest influences is Wynn Handman, famed NYC acting teacher & director, and mentor to Richard Gere, Eric Bogosian, Chris Cooper, Kim Raver, John Leguizamo, Mira Sorvino, Kathleen Chalfant, and more.
Studied & collaborated with Wynn Handman. Wynn trained many outstanding actors including: Alec Baldwin, James Caan, Kathleen Chalfant, Chris Cooper, Michael Douglas, Richard Gere, Joel Grey, Allison Janney, Raul Julia, Frank Langella, John Leguizamo, Burt Reynolds, Tony Roberts, Anna Deveare Smith, Mira Sorvino, Christopher Walken, Denzel Washington, and Joanne Woodward.
Went to Highland Park High School. Noteable HP Alum include Gary Sinise and Jeff Perry.
