Hugh Acheson is an internationally-recognized chef, author and restaurateur, originally hailing from Ottawa and currently living in Athens, Georgia. He is the chef/owner and partner of the restaurants 5&10 and The National in Athens, Ga. and Empire State South, Achie's and Spiller Park Coffee in Atlanta, Ga. His cookbook, A New Turn in the South, won the award for Best Cookbook in the field of "American Cooking" by the James Beard Foundation and awarded him "Best Chef Southeast" in 2012.
