Born in Chicago, Illinois, Sophie Thatcher, along with her twin sister, was taught piano by her mother, and was involved in the theater from age 11. Her first onscreen appearance was in a 2015 episode of Chicago PD, and that same year another guest appearance in the TV series The Exorcist. She made her big screen debut in the 2018 sci-fi film Prospect.
