Today, Univision announced that the 37th edition of Premio Lo Nuestro will open with an unforgettable performance featuring GRAMMY-Award winning artist, actor and multifaceted entertainer Will Smith, and Spanish singer songwriter India Martínez. They will be joined by iconic rapper and producer DJ Khaled, and the previously announced “Queen of Latin Pop” Thalia, accompanied by the legendary Miami Sound Machine. The performance will showcase the TV debut of the newly released track “First Love,” a collaboration between Will Smith and India Martínez. The awards ceremony will broadcast LIVE on Thursday, February 20th, starting at 7 p.m. ET / 8 p.m. CT on Univision, UNIMÁS, and ViX.
Smith recently made his return to music, releasing several empowering tracks including “Work of Art” with RUSS ft. Jaden, “Beautiful Scars” ft. Big Sean and “You Can Make It” Ft. Sunday Service Choir and Fridayy which reached #1 on the Gospel Airplay chart. All of these tracks, including “First Love” will appear on Smith’s first solo album in nearly 20 years, Based on a True Story which is set for release next month.
Will Smith
Will Smith will bring his dynamic presence to Premio Lo Nuestro for the first time. Smith first gained fame as "The Fresh Prince" alongside DJ Jazzy Jeff, making history by winning the first-ever Grammy for Best Rap Performance in 1989 for “Parents Just Don’t Understand.” His solo albums, including Big Willie Style (1997), produced platinum hits like "Gettin’ Jiggy wit It" and "Miami." Smith seamlessly transitioned from music to acting, creating iconic soundtracks for films such as Men in Black and Wild Wild West.
India Martínez
India Martínez will bring her unique fusion of flamenco, pop, and Latin urban sounds to the Premio Lo Nuestro stage. A celebrated composer, performer, and actress, India’s style has evolved, and her latest project explores Mexican music. With three Latin Grammy nominations and a Goya Award for Best Original Song, India continues to captivate audiences worldwide. She is currently working on her tenth album, inspired by Mexican folklore, featuring the standout collaboration “Equipo favorito” with La Adictiva.

DJ Khaled
GRAMMY® Award-winning global music mogul DJ Khaled has released multiple platinum albums and collaborated with major artists like Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Drake, and Justin Bieber. Known for hits like "I'm the One" and "All I Do Is Win," he is a central figure in modern hip-hop, blending high-profile collaborations with motivational messages. Khaled’s career took off in Miami, where he worked as a DJ at 99 Jamz, drawing inspiration from the city's vibrant music scene and helping establish his “We the Best” brand.
