This Sunday, December 15, at 11 a.m. ET (10 a.m. MT / 11 a.m. PT), Univision will air the final episode of Al Punto con Jorge Ramos, the innovative Spanish-language Sunday public affairs show that has helped shape conversations on immigration, politics, and social issues for nearly two decades. The Emmy®-nominated program, launched on September 9, 2007, was the first and only Spanish-language Sunday public affairs show in the United States. It quickly became a leader in the space, drawing more Hispanic viewers than all other networks combined. In his final broadcast, Jorge Ramos reflects on 17 years at the helm of the show and his remarkable 38-year career as one of Univision’s most influential journalists.
Throughout its run, Al Punto con Jorge Ramos has been a powerful voice for Latinos, exemplified through its signature segment, Contrapoder. This final episode revisits this and other notable moments including interviews with presidents and cultural icons, stories from the U.S.–Mexico border that highlight the immigrant experience, and on-the-ground reports from war zones, natural disasters, and historic events.
This final episode celebrates the show’s enduring commitment to its audience with storytelling that has resonated across generations.
