Telemundo announced it has acquired the adaptation rights to “Velvet,” the acclaimed Atresmedia’s Spanish drama that captivated audiences worldwide and became a global phenomenon. This modern adaptation is set to premiere in 2025 and will be the next major production to take place at Telemundo Center’s state-of-the-art facilities in Miami.

Telemundo Studios’ “Velvet” will find its ideal setting in New York, where fashion takes center stage. With New York’s vibrant glamour and splendor, the city is the ultimate backdrop to bring this captivating story to life. The adaptation to the present era will revive this classic tale into a contemporary drama series, filled with unforgettable characters and plots that define great love stories.
“Velvet” is an original format created by Ramon Campos and Gema R. Neira, produced by Atresmedia Televisión in collaboration with Bambú Producciones and distributed internationally by Beta Film GmbH.
