'The Rising' Cancelled at Sky Max Shortly Before Series 2 Production Began

'The Rising' Series 2 has been cancelled just months before production was due to start. The second series, which was set to be titled 'Risen', was due to have a similar premise to the first but with different characters, settings and themes, turning the show into something of an anthology series. Apparently there were a 'number of reasons' the production did not go ahead.

Well kewl.  Hopefully I can catch it online at cwtv.com. Looks like they are still doing the rotating 5 eps on current shows.

I liked it. I didn't expect another season as I thought it was basically a mini series that concluded. It was fun. And illustrated ya never accept yer dead until ya see yer body drug outta the water with little fishes hopping out of your mouth. I did like the way the season wrapped. Very good writing and satisfying.

I liked it, I think it's worth watching. The story is not open-ended at all, it concludes and everything wraps up. The second season would have been a different story with different characters, so plot-wise we won't miss anything. If you can find it, I recommend it. :)

Thanks Dax!  Hope it pops up avail at some point.

I had just flagged this one as a 'maybe' but didn't find it available to me for streaming.  Dax, If and when I do find it in the future, do you think it would be worth the time? Is it "too open-ended"?  Thx, s
