Awesome, I watch so many TV shows that I didn't had time to watch the S3 when it was airing and after the cancellation news I decided I wasn't going to watch it because I'd just be mad at whatever cliffhanger there might be since I know I wouldn't get a new season.

I wonder if Manifest makers had ideas for more than 1-2 seasons but NF wanted for them to wrap things up in one long season to get a proper ending.

Reminds me of the time Netflix forced Nikita to have a 4th season. That last season only being 6 episodes instead of the full 20-something but it still offered proper ending for the show. IIRC reason for that short season was mostly just having a proper ending for the show since people are more likely to watch something for a long time if they know there'll be a proper ending.

There's also Lucifer but I think that was a little different after NF saw how much fan support there was and they took a little gamble and changed the format quite a bit. But seems like it was a good bet to make since wasn't the S5 suppose to be the last but then they ended making a S6 the final season?

Great news! It's really annoying when shows get cancelled before they get to wrap up the story properly.
