While returning suspected killer Pruit Dover to Dodge to stand trial, Matt is shot and badly wounded, and yet Dover stays with him and nurses him back to health.
This episode was so very sad at the end. Pruitt was a good man. He obviously didn't stab the shop owner. The other scene of that prairie man fell & accidently stabbed himself. That's what happened to the shop owner. Pruitt was innocent. The judge was lousy. Didn't lawyers appeal cases in those days?
