A mystery-box challenge involving exotic foreign ingredients from all over the world takes place. Later Joe Bastianich's mother, Chef Lidia Bastianich is invited into the Masterchef kitchen to help judge and to demonstrate the technique involved in cooking Agnolotti to some of the Masterchef contestants while two are excluded. Agnolotti is a stuffed pasta dish. Then all of the chef contestants except the winner of the Mystery Box challenge are judged on their Agnolotti. A contestant leaves the Masterchef kitchen.
