Nemo and his fellow prisoners at the penal colony in Kalpani are forced to build a giant submarine - the Nautilus. As soon as it is ready, Nemo and his confidants plan to escape using the submarine. But when Director Crawley of the ruthless East India Trading Company arrives and demands that the Nautilus be immediately moved to Bombay to be outfitted, Nemo is forced to advance his plans, with whomever he can gather for a crew.

This is GREAT! When I was a kid, on Saturday mornings, my mother would drop us children off at the local theater while she went to the supermarket for the weekly shopping. I remember seeing lots of films but TWO were especially memorable; they were "Journey to the Center of the Earth" and... "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" both based on stories by the amazing Jules Verne!
Watching "Nautilus" now, after... well, I won't say how many years (but they were "early" screenings), brings back all those memories, so THANKS to whomever decided to remake the story in such an "interesting" way!
