The final few episodes of Supergirl saw Lex Luther taken & trapped in the Phantom Zone.

So how can he spend 17 years in prison and be forever trapped in the Zone at the SAME TIME !!!

HAHAHA - yes - Tyler Hoechlin had mentioned previously that he would love to do the Doomsday arc, so this was inevitable.

and Considering that James Gunn appears to be killing everything that was current in the DCU so as to create his own "Gunniverse", I'd have to say: That more likely than not, Yes, this shortened Season 4 will be the last for this version of Superman. :(
