This show is really good. So true to the original. And there's more to the plot than just leaping.
slight retcon from the original series then. because the reason why sam couldn't leap outside of his lifetime was because of how quantum leaping works. it wasn't forsafety reasons
Apparently he can. An explanation is offered in this episode. Spoiler ahead!Ben got rid of most safety protocols before he leapt. That's why he can leap beyond his own lifetime.
so does this mean this version can leap outside of his lifetime because i doubt this guy was alive in the 70's. heck the actor wasn't born until 85.
