While on a routine supply mission to a colony planet, the U.S.S. Enterprise comes under an attack from an unknown malevolent force. Pike brings all his heart and experience to bear in facing the crisis, but the security officer warns him that the enemy cannot be dealt with by conventional Starfleet means.

Glad to see the grumpy Chief Engineer Hemmer, accept help from Cadet Uhura, when he lost use of his hands.
I just love Anson as Captain Pike. He's doing such an amazing job. Definitely up there with James T. Kirk and Jean-Luc Picard.
best one so far.
Gorn are brutal enemy. And they didn`t broke canon episode in TOS where later Kirk meets them face to face.
