In the early 1980s, GEORGE LUCAS asked DAVID LYNCH to direct STAR WARS EPISODE VI: RETURN OF THE JEDI, and he said "no, thank you" and made DUNE instead. Roughly a decade later, both men created madcap comedies about the early days of TV & Radio. With his TWIN PEAKS partner MARK FROST, Lynch created the sitcom ON THE AIR, which aired on ABC for three weeks before BOB IGER canceled it. Two years later, George hired MEL SMITH to direct his long-gestating film comedy, RADIOLAND MURDERS, which bombed critically and commercially despite its pioneering use of digital special effects. Today, THE GEORGE LUCAS TALK SHOW will celebrate the links between these two visionary filmmakers by watching all seven episodes of On The Air back-to-back with Radioland Murders. Retired filmmaker GEORGE LUCAS (dead-eyed character actor CONNOR RATLIFF) and his talk show sidekick WATTO (co-lead on Amazon's THE TICK) will then explore the Lucas/Lynch bond further by watching other things, joined by producer PATRICK COTNOIR (aka SPECIAL AGENT PAT COOPNOIR aka MR C aka DOUGIE JONES) whose twitter is @patrickcotnoir. They will be joined for the next 9+ hours by a series of SPECIAL GUESTS, all the while raising money for THE DAVID LYNCH FOUNDATION....
