Squidward Tentacles

Squidward is a neighbor situated in between both Patrick and SpongeBob's house; all three within walking distance to a Krusty Krab location where they work. Squidward is a full time Cashier and despite his constant attempts to get fired, has several administrative duties, and has had this job for many years. He along with Eugene, are both mentors of SpongeBob and Patrick. At the same time, both of them have attempted to dispose of them in the thirst for power. Despite this, Squidward has stood up for SpongeBob no matter what happened between them previously such as when SpongeBob accidentally flattened Squidward with a giant rock. He intervened when an irate customer demanded unreasonable service from SpongeBob. Squidward has also intervened when Eugene is unethical towards SpongeBob while other times Eugene puts a stop to Squidward's unacceptable behavior towards SpongeBob. Squidward's species is loosely inspired from the giant pacific octopus, though is usually depicted as a Mantenna-like figure, with his name based on Edward, and the official in universe name of the race is indeed Squids. He is no different from other Squids, displaying open prejudice towards SpongeBob and Patrick, and all those of the Sponge and Star species. All " Squids " have a tendency towards apathy and irritibility, and have mediocre hobbies. They have their own walled nation state known as Tentacle Acres. SpongeBob and Patrick do not care, and are loyal friends to Squidward regardless. At the same time SpongeBob and Patrick do end up harming Squidward brutally numerous times which is greatly exaggerated in every new season. Squidward's house, as is with most other Squids, have a preferred Moai architecture. He lives in a giant Easter Island "Head" which has infrequently been depicted as possessing an entire body. This hollowed out structure is equipped with two elevators as well as two living areas, the upstairs living area where the "eyes" are located serving as his art studio. His preferred art is various self portraits, and is also tone deaf when playing the clarinet. In addition to Squidward's main job, he also has attempted numerous times as being a teacher, and a talent performer. Every time SpongeBob has seemed much more talented.
