Adam Gantry is an FBI crisis negotiator. He is summoned to talk Cole Cooper (the rogue sniper in s1 e4 (Crossfire) down from the bell tower of Saint Xavier church in Queens, from which he intends to open fire on worshippers as he feels God failed him after his girlfriend died of cancer. He fails and Cole is shot dead.
