Fern Harrow

Fern Harrow is tough, self-reliant, inscrutable, and streetwise. She has been making her own way living out of home for nearly two-and-a-half years. She has lived in share houses, squats, and slept in parks. Along with her boyfriend Callan, she has occasionally turned to drugs as a way of coping with a tough life. But just five years ago, Fern was a straight laced, rule-abiding twelve-year-old girl. Things started to go south when her parents divorced; Harrow was as absent a father as he was a husband. At her lowest moment, she went to the Bettie (on which her father by then lived permanently) and asked to move in with him... but Harrow refused. His work was too busy and he wouldn't be around to look after her. Frustrated, angry, and headstrong, Fern started living on the streets. She trusts no one. Especially not her father.
