A prospector in Virginia City, Jackson makes $130,000 and comes to New Orleans to find a woman who will marry him for his money. He ends up being targeted by a counterfeiter, but Yancy clears his name and Jackson ends up with Ruby, a hostess at the Sazerac who is attracted to his charm rather than his money.
