At 22 years of age, JP is the baby of the Saint Marie police team. He's young, eager, keen and desperate to prove himself the diligent and hard working police officer he's always dreamed he'd be.
Straight out of Police College, and on his first ever posting, JP's thirst for learning on the job is unquenchable. One would think that with the investigative powerhouse Humphrey Goodman as his DI, JP is in excellent hands. The only problem is that JP is innocent and slightly in awe of the police legend that is Dwayne Myers. How long before JP starts to get wise to the fact that Dwayne's approach to policing is a little less conventional that he might have expected?
Now a stalwart member of the Saint Marie police team, JP has more than proven himself as an intelligent and able officer over the years.
Working with his partner Dwayne opened his eyes to a less conventional style of policing, but nevertheless JP has carved out his own path and his thirst for learning on the job remains unquenchable.
Although he's missing having Dwayne around, he has his hands full with his new partner Ruby Patterson. JP admires Ruby's enthusiasm, but soon realises that teaching her the ropes is going to require a lot of patience…
