NBC had several premieres last week. The Voice opened about where it ended last season. New Amsterdam was down a bit from last season's numbers. New sci-fi drama, Debris opened to okay numbers, it will have to hold there if it wants to see a season two. The Peacock also took a bath on The Golden Globe Awards this year, losing more than half the audience it had for last year's ceremony.

ABC premiered two short-run documentary series' last week. Neither opened terribly well, but the network may have little choice but to continue to air them in light of other shooting delays. Call Your Mother was down a tenth, fans should probably enjoy what episodes remain. Black-ish lost a tenth, Mixed-ish was steady. It wouldn't be much of a surprise if the network wrapped both series' after this season. The Rookie lost two tenths, but it's in its third season and is in no danger.

CBS had a quiet week last week. The Equalizer lost another tenth. It is still safe for now, but it can't afford to lose much more. Hopefully, its numbers will stabilise soon. Clarice was steady, but low, chances are, it won't be renewed. Magnum PI was steady and should be renewed. MacGyver lost a tenth off its last new episode, but will probably be renewed as well. SWAT and SEAL Team returned after a week off, both were even with their last new episodes.

FOX saw few surprises last week. 9-1-1 was down a tenth. The Great North was down a tenth as well, and chances are it won't be renewed. Prodigal Son was even but remains the lowest-rated drama on the network. If FOX execs are in a cancelling mood, Prodigal Son will be the likely target. The Resident was even, while 9-1-1 Lone Star managed to pick up a tenth.

The CW was busy last week. Superman & Lois was renewed just in time to take a couple of months off due to filming delays. Supergirl's final season will plug the schedule hole in the meantime. Even though it lost a tenth off its premiere, the network is going to miss those Superman & Lois ratings numbers in the coming weeks. The Flash premiered its seventh season last week about where it ended in the spring.

They have axed the show, but to be expected. The idea behind it was cool, but the execution not so much. Kinda medicore. But personally I'd give them a second chance, because the story was unique and had potential in my opinion.

Prodigal Son's future is really going to depend on what FOX wants to do with programming moving forward. The network only has four scripted, hour-long dramas now (as opposed to say CBS with thirteen) and they, like the CW, don't run a full schedule. FOX seems to be leaning toward more "reality" and "game" shows, over anything scripted.

The preliminary numbers for this week are not looking good. The finals aren't out yet, but it looks like the show lost two tenths off its premiere, putting it in the 0.4 range, well below every other drama on the network. (except The Blacklist, which I don't understand how that one keeps getting renewed)
