hello, thanks for contacting me, on sharetv I was updating tv shows updates from time to time. copy/paste news about new seasons, renewals or cancellations, etc.

I am assuming users can do the same here? 

Yes, once users reach a certain level they are able to add news to shows which will also populate the front page of the site. Our news policy is here regarding what news items we allow. https://www.tvmaze.com/faq/37/news 

 Primary sources are preferred (ie press releases), however, a few news outlets are accepted as well, namely Variety and Deadline. 

ok...how long til I reach that level? Also what is the name of that level?

Supporting Contributors are able to add news items. That is a level voted on by staff every six months or so. 

ok, when is the next vote and what do I need to do to enter the process or at least to be considered ?

Members considered for promotion to Supporting Contributor are nominated by staff. Members who are considered for promotion are active users and editors who show a good grasp of the site policies and regularly edit content. 

right, so I can't add nothing for the moment :(

Maybe this is not your sector but how do I get the contributor badge? How do I edit stuff?

Editing is simple. First, make sure you've reviewed the Data Policies here: https://www.tvmaze.com/faqs/9/data-policies

Once you've got a handle on how things work, search for a few of your favorite shows, past and present. Check the listings here to see if they are up to date. If they aren't go ahead and add the missing info (remember to only source from official press releases or sites). As you edit more, you'll make your way through the editing checks and learn how the site works. Editing consistently and accurately is the best way to earn more editing privileges. 

perfect, thanks but you understand that basically we want to help you (for free) with your work so that the site gets better, I don't really see why you call it a privilege.

During the 15 years I was in Sharetv my username on the web changed a few times but never could change it there.

Nowadays I go by woooxi, nice to meet you again :)))
