Justin was born in Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada, to Suzanne, an artist and documentary filmmaker, and Brian Chatwin, an engineer. Justin has two sisters, Brieanne and Claire. His hobbies are camping and sports, and listening to Arcade Fire. He was once an avid snowboarder and lived in Vancouver to practice and attend university. He studied commerce at the University of British Columbia.
