Julie's mother Marilyn is a therapist and a narcissist. She has a fantastic life, practice, and no real problems…except for the fact that Julie has selfishly not yet given her grandchildren. She doesn't really understand the "little comedy things" Julie does downtown, and she's not the best listener.
