Yes, this article was posted before that news came out. I've updated it.

I can't believe So Help Me Todd is being cancelled! My whole family loves that show ....and everyone I talk to about it loves it too. What's the chances these numbers are not accurate.

Other shows we are sorry to see that are gone or going to be:

The Good Doctor - Blue Bloods - Star Trek Discovery - The Resident - The Rookie Feds - Evil - Seal Team - Curb Your Enthusiasm.

What numbers are you referring to? The ratings numbers? Those are the final overnights. They are the closest numbers civilians can get in terms of what the networks and advertisers look at to decide if a show is worth keeping around*. PR machines can hype the 7day, 30 day and streaming minutes all they like, but advertisers only care about the numbers most likely to have eyeballs on the adverts.

Networks and advertisers work off of something called the C3 numbers (commercial 3 day)Those measure viewer numbers for the adverts, not the programs, which is what the advertisers are interested in. Remember, the shows are the carrot to get you to watch the advertisements. The final overnights are pretty close to those C3 numbers.

Why are you listing Blue Bloods, aren't they done?

Due to the strike, Blue Bloods last season was split. Half ran this spring, the remaining 8 episodes will air in the fall.

Not surprised Lopez v Lopez is doing poorly. I'm more surprised someone agreed to try and bring it back.

NBC has struggled for years with its half-hour comedies. The rebooted Night Court was the first comedy in years to be called an actual hit. Extended Family is doing okay, but I can't see Lopez vs Lopez getting another season with its whacky viewer numbers.
