Archives: The Nanyang Mystery

In the early years of the Republic of China era, a bizarre murder case known as "Water Ghost Longing for Home" occurs at sea in Nanyang. Zhang Haiyan and Zhang Haixia, two staff members from the Southern Archives dispatched by the Zhang family to investigate the mysterious events, are drawn into a deadly trap used to hunt down members of the Zhang family overseas. Haixia offers his life in a scheme to break the deadlock, sending Haiyan aboard the giant ship, the Nan'an, back to Xiamen, in hopes of giving him a chance to survive. However, this turbulent voyage seems to have only just begun. A powerful warlord, a naive and persistent young accountant, and a dearest friend he has not seen for ten years...
