Stories mostly centered on The Kingfish's schemes to get rich, often by duping his brothers in the Mystic Knights of the Sea Lodge. Andy was particularly dupable. Amos mostly narrated.

Arabia! During a work opportunity, Kingfish can sign up for work as Welder in Arabia, and earn himself $200.00. Now, he plots to replace himself and to convince Andy to take a "pleasure cruise" to Arabia. Once Andy is onboard, then, Kingfish can get the $200.00. There is even a raffle drawing created by Kingfish, that is so typical and hilarious.
One of my favorite quotes is from Amos, the smart one, who attempts to reason with Andy that Kingfish has an angle somewhere to this "pleasure cruise".
"Andy, nobody ever goes to Arabia on vacation. It is 140 degrees!"
Great episode, creative plot.
In The Antique Shop, Kingfish has a chance to get 250.00 if he can sell the Antique Shop for the owner. Kingfish's cousin comes lookin'' to invest money. They have not seen each other so they chatted in the hotel lobby, not knowing who each other is. Kingfish blew it, so he gets Calhoun to be The Kingfish.
The funny scene is the "knocking" scene Calhoun set up with Kingfish for answers to Cousin Leo's questions about the family. A plumber and a neighbor's nail hammering confuse Calhoun.😃 So funny!! This one is simply cleverly written.
..."Andy got $400 and a minus IQ." ... ...That's when Kingfish plots to scheme away the money.
Sapphire bought a trailer for their vacation. Kingfish needs the $400 that he doesn't have for their vacation anymore. He convinces Andy that he will take him to Yellowstone Park, in the trailer, but the charade is in Central Park, not to Yellowstone Park. Calhoun is in on the scheme too in crazy tricks for Andy.
😉There are always some very funny lines in these episodes, and I need to watch a few times. Laughtracks are poorly placed and often cover up dialogue. Plus, this is very old film!
