Seth Meyers is a comedian, writer, and television personality born on December 28, 1973, in Bedford, New Hampshire. He worked as an international performer before landing a spot on Saturday Night Live in 2001. He eventually became the show's head writer and an anchor for its popular "Weekend Update" news segment. The winner of an Emmy and several Writers Guild Awards, Meyers made his debut as host of NBC's Late Night with Seth Meyers on February 24, 2014, taking over the Late Night slot from fellow SNL alum Jimmy Fallon (who moved to hostingThe Tonight Show).
The fledgling performer attended Northwestern University, graduating in 1996. Meyers married Alexi Ashe, a human rights attorney, on September 1, 2013, in Martha's Vineyard. The couple welcomed a son, Ashe Olsen, on March 27, 2016, and a second son, Axel Strahl, on April 8, 2018.
