Cris D'amato is a filmmaker, from Rio, born in 1963. Graduated in journalism from PUC-Rio in 1989, she was already studying theater alongside college. In 1990 she set up her own theater company, where she was an actress and producer, Cia Limite 151. In 1992 she began working as an assistant director on the soap opera Amazônia on the Manchete network. - General direction by Tizuka Yamasaki and the collaboration of directors: Tânia Lamarca, José Joffily. In 1995 he joined Cinema as 1st assistant director on the feature film Buena Sorte, by Tânia Lamarca. In 1996 she worked as assistant director on the TV Globo series – A JUSTICEIRA – directed by Daniel Filho. She returned to cinema with Outras Estórias (1997) by Pedro Bial and since then has worked frequently as first assistant and assistant director for different directors on films. In 2006, she debuted as a director in Longa SEM CONTROLE, at the invitation of Julio Uchoa, Anana productions.
