Born in Los Angeles, California, Thora Birch began her career at the age of four, appearing in commercials for Quaker Oats, Burger King, Vlasic Pickles and California Raisins. By age six she debuted in the 1988 sci-fi comedy Purple People Eater as Molly Johnson, and that same year landed the role of Molly Farrell in the series Day by Day
