She gets to know Laura Thyme, who turns up after a friend is killed in a suspicious car accident, and when the pair find the lord of the manor unconscious beneath his bedroom window, they must decide whether depression led him to attempt suicide or if there is a more sinister explanation.

As they investigate further, Rosemary and Laura are plunged into a sinister mystery with roots deep in the past.
